Despite reports connecting Colombian forward Juan Pablo Angel with Chivas USA in a trade from the Los Angeles Galaxy, no official word has come down regarding the acquisition. Considering the late hour, it is probably safe to say no word will come from the club until the morning at the earliest. That is, of course, assuming it actually takes place, which is not a safe assumption in light of the Freddy Adu to Chivas fiasco from last week.

However, there is a new indication that this deal will be taking place and involving Chivas. The ESPNDeportes Los Angeles site has an interview with JPA about going to Chivas and what his motivations were for staying at the Home Depot Center (he says his family factored significantly in approving the deal). You can read the article (in Spanish) here.

Still, I'm not willing to post a reaction of the deal until it is officially announced. Hopefully there will be some indication one way or the other tomorrow. Certainly, the article provides more evidence that it is happening, but I don't want to be snakebitten. I vow to provide a full reaction piece once an announcement is made, however.

In the meantime, what do you think about this potential move? Leave a comment below!
