Merry Christmas! Whether you are hitting the beach, snuggling in with a cup of cocoa indoors, eating tamales or having a ham dinner, or really anything else, I sincerely hope you have a good holiday.
The Goat Parade is not quite yet two years old, and I've been aboard for about a year and a half, but we've come a long way since starting. We have worked to bring you quality daily coverage on Chivas USA, and we very much appreciate your visits to the site. Obviously, there's not any point in having the site without people reading it, and we thank the Chivas fans, neutrals and haters who come see what we put up!
I would be remiss if I didn't thank the writing staff we've assembled over the past year, who help out on a regular basis with providing Chivas USA-related content. Rachna, our draft/college expert, not only accurately predicted Casey Townsend would be the Goats' draft pick (no pressure, honestly for 2013!), but she provided great coverage on many fronts, and filled in for me on a couple of occasions! Thanks Rachna!
Matthew has worked on a variety of pieces this year, but I always call him the resident "stat guy" around here. He doesn't just do statistics, however, and he's also been kind enough to fill in for me a couple times this season as well. I know he's a busy guy, but I thank him for the work this year!
Stephen has come aboard in recent months, and his "Once a Goat" column, on former Chivas USA players, has been a great way to stay up to date. He's a hard worker, and his contributions have been helpful. Thanks!
And it was a long time in the making, but The Goat Parade recently unveiled the partnership with the "What the Flock?!" guys. In addition to bringing audio coverage of our team on a regular basis, ELAC and Glyconerd will be popping up with articles from time to time, bringing the attitude that the website needs! Orale! Thanks guys!
Once again, thanks to all of you for reading. We hope the site will get even stronger for 2013, and we can't do that without your continued support (and some more readers wouldn't hurt)! I'll leave you with this video of a goal I like, because nothing makes me feel festive like awesome goals like this (be sure to watch the close-up angle to see how it is scored):
