Gamethread: Chivas USA Vs. Houston Dynamo, 3/11/12

It's just about gametime! Chivas USA are opening the season against the Eastern Conference Champion Houston Dynamo today (4 pm, Galavision). It should be an exciting day, and one that hopefully brings a victory for the Goats!

If you missed it, take a look at our preview for the match from yesterday.

A couple of injuries may juggle the starting lineup today. Most notably, Michael Lahoud was listed as out in the injury report, with a hamstring injury. After his stellar preseason, it really is a shame he will be out for this match. I would expect Laurent Courtois will replace him in the lineup. Blair Gavin is also out, also with a hamstring injury, which is unfortunate, although I didn't expect him to start the game. Alejandro Moreno is probable, but he has a broken nose so he may be a question mark. And new center back John Valencia was listed as probable with a quad injury. If he's too hurt, let's hope he doesn't go out there and get torched, but hopefully he'll be in solid shape to start.

I'll be in the stands for today's game, so I won't be able to give regular game updates. If you are watching on TV, check it out on Galavision and weigh in with your opinions about how the Goats are playing. And as ever, if you are at the match, feel free to comment after the game.

Arriba las Chivas!
