Gamethread: D.C. United Vs. Chivas USA, 9/23/12

It's time for the game! Chivas USA finish their road trip with their first and only match against D.C. United (4 pm PDT, Galavision). Chivas are on a losing streak that Chivatown hopes will end now, and D.C. has won their last couple matches after losing star Dwayne De Rosario to a knee injury. Chivas don't have the injuries to worry about, but they have two suspended players: Oswaldo Minda, for his now-patented yellow card accumulation, and James Riley, for a phantom red card that I've yet to see explained. So if the Goats get a result, it's got to be without two key players.

If you missed them, take a look at the Three Questions exchange and the match preview.

I'll be covering basic plays and commentary as usual, so feel free to join in the discussion!

Lineups after the jump:

Chivas USA starting XI: Dan Kennedy; Ben Zemanski, Danny Califf, John Valencia, Ante Jazic; Miller Bolanos, Shalrie Joseph, Nick LaBrocca, Peter Vagenas; Ryan Smith, Casey Townsend

Chivas bench: Patrick McLain, Bobby Burling, Ante Jazic, Juan Agudelo, Jose Correa, Alejandro Moreno, Tristan Bowen

D.C. United starting XI: Bill Hamid; Andy Najar, Brandon McDonald, Dejan Jakovic, Chris Korb; Nick DeLeon, Perry Kitchen, Marcelo Saragosa, Chris Pontius; Lionard Pajoy, Maicon Santos

D.C. bench: Joe Willis, Hamdi Salihi, Branko Boskovic, Lewis Neal, Robbie Russell, Ethan White, Long Tan

Arriba Las Chivas!
