Chivas USA players are undergoing their annual physicals today before beginning training camp tomorrow, and one player has revealed he will be returning to the Goats for the 2013 season. Midfielder Laurent Courtois, who has been with the team since the summer of 2011, answered a question from a friend of The Goat Parade on twitter:
"@jorrini: @laurentcourtois are you coming back to Chivas USA in 2013?"I am.

What does that mean for the Goats? It means another player is around to undergo the transition from the Fraser era to the Chelis era. Like fellow returning teammate Ante Jazic, Courtois is well into his 30s, but he can provide experience to what will likely be a rather young squad. If he can get consistent playing time and on the same page with his teammates, perhaps he can start contributing assists on a regular basis.
So, Courtois is back. We'll see if other players discuss training camp in the coming days. What do you think of his return? Leave a comment below!
