Chivas USA conclude their on-field activities for 2013 tonight with a friendly against FC Tucson at their new North Stadium at the Kino Sports Complex in Tucson. The match begins at 6 pm PT, and you can find information for tickets on the game at FC Tucson's website, if you will be in the area or are inclined to take a road trip over to Arizona. If you are unable to make the match, you won't be able to watch it, as I have been told there won't be a stream.
The hosts are part of the USL-PDL, and have been around since 2011. This past season, they finished the 2013 PDL season in fifth place in the Southwest Conference, but they also made a run in the U.S. Open Cup this year, beating USL-PRO side Phoenix FC and NASL team San Antonio Scorpions before falling in the third round to the Houston Dynamo.
If you want to learn more about Chivas' opponents, be sure to check out the Three Questions feature from Thursday with Ted Prezelski.
Chivas USA's lineup is a bit up in the air for this game, as there are reports most of the loanees from Guadalajara are not currently with the team, and Jose Luis Real has not been in training leading up to this match, as he's also believed to be back in Mexico. So on that front, we'll have to see exactly who plays in this one for the Goats.
FC Tucson's roster for this match was announced yesterday. Here it is:
GK: Larry Jackson, Roman Acosta
D: Kareem Smith, Michael Kraus, Travis Campbell, Mike Duhaney, Edgar Reyna, Devon Grousis
M: Reid Schmitt, Dominic Papa, Scott Morrison, Alejandro Gonzalez, James Urbany, Gavino Carranza, Stephen Posa
F: Saeed Robinson, Ricardo Mardoqueo, Dakota Collins, Isaac Ikyurav, Sadam Ali, David Clemens, Gabe Silveira
