Chivas USA announced Monday they have signed defender Fejiro Okiomah. The 23-year-old last played for the Charlotte Eagles in the USL PRO.

Okiomah, whose brother Karo was a Supplemental Draft pick of the Houston Dynamo in 2012, played four years at High Point University in North Carolina from 2009-12. He also featured for the USL PDL's Carolina Dynamo while in college. Listed as a midfielder by his college, it will be interesting to see if he will play in central defense or as a full back with Chivas.

He also has been around the Chivas set-up for some time, as he played in the friendly against FC Tucson last November and also featured in MLS Reserve League action for the Goats.

The Texas native is the third defender Chivas have added in a week, following Tony Lochhead and Andrew Ribeiro, and he joins Clint Irwin in being among the recent former Charlotte Eagles players to make the move up to MLS.
