Chivas USA's Marky Delgado called up to USMNT U-20 training camp

The youngster represents the Goats on the U.S. U-20s.

Although no Chivas USA players were called up to the senior U.S. Men's National Team roster today, one Goat was called up by a youth squad. Midfielder/defender and Homegrown product Marky Delgado was selected by coach Tab Ramos for the USMNT U-20 training camp, to be held today through January 12 in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.

Delgado, 18, has previously featured for the USMNT U-17 and U-18 teams, and participated in the first U-20 training camp of this World Cup cycle, which took place last November in Italy.

He is the only person associated with Chivas USA in the group. There are several other Homegrown signings from other MLS clubs in the group, including new Real Salt Lake signing Jordan Allen, Philadelphia Union forward Zach Pfeffer, and New York Red Bulls trio Santiago Castano, Matt Miazga, and Amando Moreno.

According to the release for the training camp, there will be two intrasquad scrimmages held during the camp.

Congratulations to Marky!
