Major League Soccer Commissioner Don Garber introduced the new ownership group for Los Angeles Football Club on Thursday at an unveiling in Hollywood. Garber introduced the three principle partners, Henry Nguyen, Peter Guber, and Tom Penn, as well as upwards of 20 other owner partners, which included former pro athletes Magic Johnson, Mia Hamm, and Nomar Garciaparra, as well as a number of other people in the business, sports, and entertainment worlds.
Garber spoke a bit in a video produced by MLSsoccer.com on Thursday about the new team (watch above). While there isn't a great deal of news to be broken on it, it gives you an idea of his desire to see a second team in Los Angeles work, and he also talks a bit about the need to find a good site to build a stadium in the area.
More info on the way, as we learn more on a very busy day!
