Los Angeles FC got lots of questions in their first Twitter Q&A on Wednesday, with co-owners Henry Nguyen and Tom Penn answering a handful of them.
Among the most interesting tidbits from the Q&A: They are apparently not just set on LA, but also Orange County as a potential stadium destination, one that has immediately caused some consternation on social media, that a team purporting to be for the urban LA market could end up walking all the way back to being an OC team. Stay tuned on that front, obviously.
Also, they said the goal is to settle on a team "name and colors by the start of the 2015 MLS season." So there could be real action on that front soon.
And in regards to the Academy, given the frustration (including on this website) that Chivas USA's excellent Academy will be shuttered next summer, the only word in the Q&A was that, "building a strong academy before '17 is a priority."
