it seems Erick Torres was not the only person from Chivas USA the Houston Dynamo wanted.

the MLS club announced on Wednesday that former Chivas USA assistant coach Paul Caffrey has been hired as sports performance director and fitness coach, joining new coach Owen Coyle's staff.

Caffrey was Wilmer Cabrera's primary assistant coach at CUSA in 2014, and previously worked as an assistant alongside Cabrera with the Colorado Rapids. The Irishman has extensive experience in American soccer at a variety of levels, including the junior college and USMNT youth levels, as well as MLS.

Caffrey will join Chivas' star striker Cubo Torres (whenever the Mexican returns from his loan stint with Chivas de Guadalajara) at the Dynamo. In addition, Houston also selected another CUSA player, Nathan Sturgis, in the Re-Entry Draft earlier this month, but as of right now he is apparently not signed to the team for the 2015 season, though it seems likely he will before long.
