Following up a rumor that emerged earlier this month, Ives Galarcep is reporting that English striker Luke Moore is indeed on his way to Chivas USA:
Sources confirm that Chivas USA have completed deal for English striker and former Aston Villa player Luke Moore, will join team tonight.

Moore, 28, certainly has the pedigree, having played in the English Premier League with Aston Villa, West Bromwich Albion, and Swansea City. He also featured most recently in the Turkish Super League for midtable side Elazigspor, so he has played in very good European leagues.
However, his previous strike rate isn't very good, with available figures indicating he's notched 38 career goals in 243 appearances, or a goal every six to seven games. However, we've seen players with less-than-stellar career stats succeed in MLS, just like we've seen some fail.
Also, given the reports he is out of contract, the lack of a transfer fee is clearly enticing to the new owners, i.e. MLS. If his salary isn't excessive, and if he performs well, it could help supplement the attack and possibly help the team transition midseason when Erick Torres returns to Mexico upon the end of his loan deal.
We'll let you know when we get confirmation regarding this story.
* Update: MLSsoccer.com reports a team spokesperson calls the report from Galarcep "unfounded." So maybe it goes back to the rumor category for now.
