Mauro Rosales wins Chivas USA Player of the Month for April

The veteran playmaker takes the honors for the second month of the 2014 campaign.

Congratulations are in order to midfielder Mauro Rosales, who won our (tardy) Chivas USA Player of the Month honors for April. Narrowly edging out Erick Torres for last month's honors, Rosales distinguished himself in what was admittedly a tough month for the Goats.

Starting all four matches last month, Rosales helped Chivas notch a 1-1 tie in Portland against the Timbers, but the team couldn't manage to get a result in the other three games. Still, his tireless work ethic and ability to provide a creative conduit for the attack surely endeared himself to CUSA fans. On top of that, his ability to track back and join in the team efforts to defend when necessary shows he has life in his veteran legs yet and should continue to be a key piece of the midfield for the Goats moving forward.

Well done, Mauro!

March 2014 winner: Thomas McNamara
