Chivas USA's Erick "Cubo" Torres wins MLS Goal of the Week for dramatic winner vs. Montreal

Justice is served, as Cubo gets the honors.

Good news! After inexplicably failing to win MLS Goal of the Week last week following his awe-inspiring volley, Chivas USA forward Erick Torres has roared back with another terrific goal, and this time, it made the grade, as his audacious game-winner against the Montreal Impact was named MLS Goal of the Week for Week 17. It is the first time in his MLS career he's won the award.

In case you missed it, Cubo scored his goal at the death of the Goats' 1-0 win over the Impact. Finding himself in the box with a deflected ball bouncing around him after Marky Delgado hit a desperation shot to keep Chivas' hopes alive, Torres took a touch to settle himself, in a sense, then hit a wicked bicycle/side volley shot that Montreal goalkeeper Troy Perkins was certainly not expecting, and his hand could not keep the shot out of the back of the net. From there, Cubo jumped into the stands to celebrate with supporters, and the rest is history.

Let's admire the goal once again, shall we?

Congratulations Cubo! It is an honor well-deserved. And thanks to everybody who voted for him.
