Our own Eric Bobadilla called it - Chivas USA's Nigel Reo-Coker may have been involved in a scuffle in last week's game against Toronto FC, leading to his ejection along with his counterpart, Jackson, but he wasn't the primary instigator of the fight.
MLS announced on Friday that Jackson has been suspended two games total, as upheld by the MLS Disciplinary Committee, for "violent conduct," while Reo-Coker will only serve the standard one-game ban for his part in the proceedings. Both players have been fined, and NRC got an additional fine because he put his hands on the face or head of his opponent.
That means Reo-Coker will sit out Saturday's game against the Seattle Sounders, but will be eligible to return Oct. 5 against Real Salt Lake. He has started the last five games for the Goats after being traded from the Vancouver Whitecaps last month.
