John Thorrington was announced as LAFC's first soccer operations hire on Tuesday, and we've recorded his opening remarks for posterity.
In introducing Thorrington, LAFC co-owners Peter Guber and Tom Penn emphasized Thorrington's knowledge base, both on and off the field. While he does not have any experience in this particular position, he's the latest in a line of former MLS players to join the management ranks after retirement. It could go either way, obviously.
