Local USL side Orange County Blues FC are back in action this evening, as they host Arizona United SC for the second time in three games this season. The rematch between the clubs should be highly anticipated, as Arizona won the season opener 2-1, despite OC having a higher quality of play overall and were perhaps a bit unlucky to walk away without at least a point.

Tonight's game (7 pm PT, Anteater Stadium in Irvine) will also be interesting because AZ United sit atop the Western Conference standings with a perfect 3-0-0 record, and the play of Dennis Chin and Long Tan has been very strong so far this season. In addition, United will be welcoming newcomer Jose Cuevas into the fold after serving a suspension from his time last season with the Charleston Battery. Cuevas is expected to elevate Arizona's attack further, so the Blues' defense will have their work cut out for them.

On the bright side, the Blues (1-1-0, 9th place in Western Conference) have played reasonably well defensively, and their midfield has been the bright spot overall. While striker Chris Cortez scored in the first game against Arizona, there does appear to be work yet to be done to fully connect the midfield and forwards, but another 90 minutes of game time this evening should give OC more progress on playing as a team.

At any rate, it should be a good test for the Blues. Can they ruin Arizona's perfect record, or will the visitors finish their season-opening road trip in the brightest of manners? We'll find out this evening.
