Well, three wins in a row and three weeks of plaudits for Orange County Blues players. This time around, midfielder Didier Crettenand and winger Denzel Slager were named to the USL Team of the Week for Week 6 of the season. It is Crettenand's second such selection this season, and Slager's first.

The duo picked up the honors following the Blues' 2-1 win over Sacramento Republic FC on the road last Friday. It was only the second-ever loss for Sac Republic at Bonney Field, and helped OC jump up the Western Conference standings. Crettenand had an assist and an impressive game-winning goal in the match, and Slager scored his first USL goal to help kickstart the comeback for the visitors.

Also of note for some readers of this site: Former Chivas USA strikers Matthew Fondy and Kristopher Tyrpak were named to the USL Team of the Week bench for the week. Both players scored goals for their teams, and in Fondy's case it was his first goal for new USL side Louisville City FC.

The Blues will be back in action on Friday against Seattle Sounders FC 2, before a quick turnaround with another road game against Portland Timbers 2 on Sunday.
