Coincidence -- it can be a crazy thing.
It just so happened that when folks showed up for the LAFC stadium announcement event on Monday, there just happened to be LA Galaxy fliers in the vicinity:

And then on top of that, just as the event was happening, apparently reporters around the country received a package from the Galaxy with the club's new Galaxy Star Map. I tell ya, you just can't make it up.
In all seriousness, the map is pretty neat, and there is something cool in teams really turning to history as a selling point. Still, these moves still clearly demonstrate the Galaxy having just a teensy worry about LAFC taking some of the limelight, even if they explicitly claim otherwise.
