The Orange County Blues will look to get back to winning ways on Saturday when they host fellow Southern California side LA Galaxy II for the teams' first meeting of the season at Anteater Stadium (kickoff is at 7:20 pm PT). It should be a fascinating match, not least because these teams are even on points in the standings and will be looking to move up in the Western Conference, at the expense of the other side, of course.

While the Blues got a decent result last week at home against Western leaders Seattle Sounders 2 with a 1-1 draw, they've hit a bit of adversity recently and are trying to get back to the win column, something they haven't done across all competitions since May 13.

The Galaxy II are in better form than OC at the moment. After getting off to a slow start in their season, they've been on something of a roll lately, winning four of their last five games. They may have a young team, but they are clicking and look pretty likely to make the USL playoffs for the second year in a row.

This game is also the first of back-to-back games between the sides, giving it a bit of a different feel than the usual league games, and of course it's a local rivalry game. The Blues were a putrid 0-for-4 last year against Galaxy II, so like the other former local rivalry on the MLS level, there isn't a lot of real rivalry feelings between these sides because the series is completely one-sided. If the Blues can beat Galaxy II, however, that could help bolster their case to make the "405 derby" an actual derby.

We know Blues defender Josh Suggs will be missing for this game, as he's been suspended for two games after his red card foul against Seattle. That means there will be a new player at left back, likely Jimmy Turner. But this is USL so you never quite know until the lineups are announced.

Tale of the Tape:

OC Blues: 16 points (5-3-1), 4th place in Western Conference; Goal Difference: 7 (15/8); Last five matches: D-L-W-W-L

LA Galaxy II: 16 points (5-4-1) 5th place in Western Conference; Goal Difference: 1 (13/12); Last five matches: W-L-W-W-W

How to Watch: The game will be held at Anteater Stadium in Irvine, and will also be streamed on YouTube. Here's the stream for your convenience, to watch live or on demand:
