The Orange County Blues bolstered their attacking corps last week with the signing of forward David Estrada, the team announced on Monday. Estrada, 27, has already played in one game for the Blues, last weekend's 3-0 win over Arizona United SC.
Estrada joins Orange County from Sacramento Republic FC, where he signed ahead of the current season. The California native also has considerable MLS experience, playing for the Seattle Sounders from 2010-14, and with D.C. United in 2014. He's played in MLS, the U.S. Open Cup and CONCACAF Champions League over the years, and was once selected MLS Player of the Week after scoring a hat trick.
"We feel very fortunate to add a player of David's quality to our already talented roster. He is a first class character and professional who has played on the highest level and his addition will make us a better team!" said Blues head coach Oliver Wyss in a statement.
OC remain in the thick of the Western Conference playoff chase, with their next game coming on Saturday in Texas against the Austin Aztex.
