The Orange County Blues got a key addition to their forward line for the 2016 season on Wednesday, as they announced the signing of Trevin Caesar. The 26-year-old has been capped by Trinidad and Tobago and joins the Blues from the Austin Aztex, who are officially on hiatus from USL for the upcoming season.

Caesar was one of the key attackers for Austin last season, finishing tied with Kristopher Tyrpak for best on the team with nine goals scored in league play. Comfortable both as a starter and coming off the bench, Caesar also won an NASL championship in 2014 with the San Antonio Scorpions.

"In Trevin we are signing a player with great experience," said head coach and general manager Oliver Wyss in a team statement. "He is a full international and has played many games at the NASL and USL level. He will bring pace and energy to our front line and will look to excite our fans."

"I'm very excited to join the Orange County Blues for next season," said Caesar. "I'm ready for a new opportunity and I can't wait to return to the field."

Caesar is the seventh announced player on the Blues for 2016, joining fellow striker Tyler Feeley, midfielders Pavle Popara, Christopher Santana, Nikola Ilich, Ryan Felix and fellow newcomer and goalkeeper Brandon Miller.

We'll have more news on the Blues as it becomes available.
