How to watch Swope Park Rangers vs. OC Blues

Blues aim to make more history in Kansas City.

OC, SPR meet again on Sunday.
USL/Swope Park Rangers

The big day is here: Orange County Blues aim to make a true Cinderella run in the 2016 USL Cup Playoffs, and their next knockout test is this afternoon against Swope Park Rangers in Kansas City.

It’s a big test for the Blues, who of course remain the lowest seed left in the USL Cup Playoffs and who are facing another elimination game on the road, this time in the heartland.

Swope Park Rangers won the only competitive game between the sides to date, a 3-0 win back in July in the same location. And Trevin Caesar won’t be with the team for the game, as he’s on international duty with the Trinidad & Tobago national team. Losing your leading scorer for your biggest game is tough.

But the Blues showed they could play well last week in their upset of Sacramento Republic, and if they put together another performance that strong they’ll very much be in the game today. It’s not going to be easy, but even with the odds stacked against them, Orange County just need to put together 90 (or 120) minutes of outstanding play, and they can continue their postseason run.

Tale of the Tape:

Orange County Blues: 1-0-0 (defeated Sacramento Republic FC 0 (5)-0 (4) in penalty shootout in first round of playoffs), 8th seed in Western Conference

Swope Park Rangers: 1-0-0 (defeated LA Galaxy II 3-0 in first round of playoffs), 4th seed in Western Conference

How to watch Swope Park Rangers vs. OC Blues: The game is scheduled to kick off at 1 pm PT on Sunday. You can watch on the stream below or at USL’s matchcenter for this game.
