The Orange County Blues played their third game of the preseason on Saturday, against the University of San Diego in at Torero Stadium. Once again, the Blues lost, this time by a 4-1 scoreline.
I scoured the internet, and here are the items I could find about the game:

I know, that's a lot of information to process. Don't know about you, but I can't wait to be able to actually watch games again.
Since there isn't much info on Saturday's game, let's go over two other news items related to the Blues. First, as we reported last month, Denzel Slager has indeed signed with LA Galaxy II, as it was officially announced this week. And as I expected, the main reason Slager gave for moving across town to join the Galaxy organization was the opportunity to try and earn an MLS contract. Obviously it's disappointing to see him leave the Blues, but with the Blues being fully independent, that is a drawback to being an independent USL club (even if there are several advantages, too).
And one of the Blues' veterans, goalkeeper Aaron Perez, has signed with NASL club Minnesota United FC. That Perez is no longer with the Blues is not at all surprising, since he didn't play a minute in 2015 and appeared to not have any role with OC during the season. Perez is expected to be the third string 'keeper, but you never know what will happen, and Minnesota seems to be one of the best organizations in American soccer at the moment, so that seems like a pretty good move.
As the Blues' tweet above mentioned, their next preseason game is against UCLA in Irvine a week from today.
