The Orange County Blues were missing new forward Trevin Caesar for their season opener last week, as he was with the Trinidad & Tobago national team for their 2018 CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers against St. Vincent and the Grenadines. On Tuesday, he got his chance to make a mark, and he did just that, scoring a brace in T&T's 6-0 win over the Vincy Heat in Port of Spain.
Caesar, who did not feature in last week's 3-2 road win for Trinidad & Tobago, came off the bench in the 71st minute on Tuesday, with the game already wrapped up at 4-0. A local match report noted that Caesar was given the chance to play up top instead of on the wing by T&T head coach Stephen Hart, and he made the most of the opportunity, scoring two goals, in the 86th and 89th minutes to make it 6-0.
Caesar should be back with the Blues in time for Saturday's game against Saint Louis FC. It's unclear if he'll see action for his new club, but given the form he's in, it would not be a surprise.
