USL released their Team of the Week for Week 3 of the 2016 season on Tuesday, and the Orange County Blues have their first representation in the the 18 for the week. Midfielder Didier Crettenand was named to the Team of the Week bench.

Crettenand scored the Blues' only goal in a 1-1 draw against the LA Galaxy II in the first edition of the 405 Derby on Friday. After a couple of near-misses and unlucky bounces in the first couple games of the season, Crettenand finally opened his account for the season with a free kick that fooled LA goalkeeper Dan Kennedy and beat him to the far post to tie up the match. The goal helped Orange County take their first point of the young season and to grab their third result in the history of the series against Galaxy II.

Congrats to Didier on the recognition. Considering the rapidly expanding league means it's tougher for players to grab the spotlight, it's good to see him get some dap.
