How to Watch: Orange County Blues vs. San Antonio FC

The Blues face another brand new opponent at home.

The Orange County Blues are back in action this evening, hosting brand-new USL team San Antonio FC at Anteater Stadium (7 pm PT). The Blues are seeking their first win this season, but hopes are likely higher than ever after OC took a point against LA Galaxy II in the last match. Not to be outdone, San Antonio FC themselves took a point from their game midweek against the Galaxy II, as familiar face Carlos Alvarez scored a late equalizer on Wednesday.

SAFC look like a solid team from the start, and they are unbeaten in their short history. Boasting MLS-experienced players like Alvarez, Jason Johnson and Stephen McCarthy, they look like they are going to be competitive in USL this season, at the very least, and could really be in position to make waves in the wild Western Conference. Time will tell.

For OC, they haven't found Anteater Stadium to be a fortress just yet, as they've lost both games there this year. Will that change against San Antonio? We'll have to wait for the game to find out, of course, but one figures once they get the forwards scoring, likely Trevin Caesar and Akwafei Ajeakwa, the good times should start rolling for them. The shots are there -- now they just to get some in the net.

Tale of the Tape

OC Blues: 1 point (0-2-1), 13th in Western Conference; Goal Difference: -3 (2/5); Last three games: D-L-L

San Antonio FC: 5 points (1-0-2), 8th in Western Conference; Goal Difference: 3 (5/2); Last three games: D-D-W
