Trevin Caesar gets USL recognition this week; OC Blues remain in league Power Rankings

Since it was another good week for the Orange County Blues, they got some props yet again this week. For the third week running, the Blues, who beat Portland Timbers 2 1-0 last week, have a player get some leaguewide recognition, this time forward Trevin Caesar makes the USL Team of the Week bench after scoring his first goal of the season in the victory. Caesar is the second OC player this season to get the nod, alongside midfielder Didier Crettenand. Additionally, former Blues goalkeeper Billy Thompson, now with Colorado Springs Switchbacks, was named to the Team of the Week XI.

And the Blues remained in the USL Power Rankings again for Week 5, moving up two slots to No. 8.

Given the crowded landscape, with 29 teams in the league and so much competition for attention, the Blues can keep the accolades rolling with more results. Their next chance? Saturday at Sacramento Republic FC. Road trip!
