The Orange County Blues are officially in their 6th season of existence, and with that kind of longevity, there are a bevy of players in the U.S. and around the world who have donned the blue, white, and orange (and even baby blue in the first couple of years).

Let’s take stock of every active player’s known (and verifiable) whereabouts in the introductory Blues Alumni Report. (in alphabetical order)

  • Gibson Bardsley - Arizona United SC: Bardsley played for the Blues in the first half of the 2014 season, and after stints overseas, with Tulsa Roughnecks FC, and overseas again, he’s now playing for United.
  • Chad Bond - Saint Louis FC: The Welsh midfielder donned the Blues kit in the 2012 season, and has played for Port Talbot Town, Sacramento Republic FC, and Tulsa Roughnecks FC before settling in St. Louis this season.
  • Junior Burgos - Atlanta United FC: Although his time with Orange County was short during the 2015 season, Burgos moved back to the NASL with the Atlanta Silverbacks for the rest of the year. In February, he became Atlanta United’s second official signing, and is on loan with the Tampa Bay Rowdies for 2016 before ATLUFC makes its MLS debut in 2017.
  • Bryan Burke - Jacksonville Armada FC: The Newport Beach native played for the Blues in 2012, and after stints at Orlando City (USL) and Louisville City, he's plying his trade in the NASL with Jacksonville.
  • Chris Cortez - Arizona United SC: The former Chivas USA forward spent three seasons with the Blues, and now joins Bardsley at Arizona United.
  • George Davis IV - Louisville City FC: Davis played for the Blues in 2012 and 2013, and had two standout seasons with the Richmond Kickers before joining Louisville for 2016.
  • David Estrada - Charlotte Independence: The former Seattle Sounders and D.C. United forward joined the Blues midway through the 2015 season after starting it with Sacramento Republic FC, and now plays for the Independence.
  • Matt Fondy - Jacksonville Armada FC: One of the Blues’ most successful players, if not the most, went on to play with Chivas USA, Chicago Fire, and Louisville City before joining Jacksonville Armada this season.
  • Josh Ford - San Antonio FC: The former Seattle Sounders goalkeeper joined the Blues on loan from the MLS club during the 2014 season, and after a stint with Orlando City (who loaned him to Fort Lauderdale Strikers), he’s now the top man at San Antonio FC.
  • Marco Franco - Indy Eleven: The former UCI defender was drafted by the Chicago Fire in 2014, and was sent on loan to the Blues in the later half of that season. Chicago later loaned him out again, this time to Indy Eleven, and the next season, Franco officially signed with the NASL side.

  • Aaron Kovar - Seattle Sounders FC: Kovar was loaned to the Blues for two matches in 2014, and now splits time between the Sounders first team and S2.
  • Aaron Long - NYRB II: After being drafted by the Portland Timbers in 2014, Long was originally loaned to Sacramento Republic FC, then to the Blues before being released. He then signed with Seattle Sounders FC, and the next season with S2, before signing with the "Baby Bulls" for 2016.
  • Rodrigo Lopez - Celaya FC: One of USL’s brightest stars played for the Blues in 2013 before two standout seasons with Sacramento Republic FC. Lopez now plays for Celaya FC in the Mexican second division. (Source)

  • Beto Navarro - Jacksonville Armada FC: One of the stalwarts of the Blues’ backline in 2015, Navarro returned to the NASL with Jacksonville for 2016.
  • Stephen Okai - Pittsburgh Riverhounds: One of the top players on the 2014 Blues, Okai has been patrolling the midfield for the Riverhounds since 2015.
  • Sean Okoli - FC Cincinnati: Okoli was part of that two-match loan from Seattle Sounders FC with his then teammate, Aaron Kovar, in 2014. After a short stint with the New England Revolution in 2015, Okoli is shining for FC Cincinnati in 2016.
