Check out the newest renderings of LAFC's stadium

Two new views of the forthcoming stadium.

Alongside the big news of Los Angeles Football Club receiving approval from the Los Angeles City Council on Friday to proceed with their stadium project, the club released two new renderings of the stadium.

The stadium, projected to open in 2018, is now decorated in the colors of black and gold, reflective of the expansion team's official colors:

And based on how things look in this rendering (which it bears reminding, may not fully reflect the finished product), it looks like the stands will be quite steep, so you may want to take a trip to another new stadium with steep stands, Avaya Stadium in San Jose, to get a sense of how things could feel when LAFC's home is done.

And do you remember when Mesut Ozil appeared to sneak in an older rendering? Well, there's some speculation about a player featured in the above image?

Is this a hint that LAFC will be joining the Zlatan-to-MLS sweepstakes? Probably not, but who knows what the future holds.
