The Orange County Blues will have their next game on Thursday against San Antonio FC in Texas, but the list of the suspended grows.

USL announced this week that Blues forward Trevin Caesar and midfielder Ivan Mirkovic will both be suspended for the game, as they each picked up their fifth yellow cards of the season, resulting in the automatic one-game ban.

The result is that three players are suspended for the San Antonio game, as forward Akwafei Ajeakwa will serve the second of his two-game suspension on Thursday, after picking up a red card against Arizona United SC and subsequently getting an additional game tacked onto his suspension by the league.

Make no mistake, the trio’s absence will make for a tough lineup choice by Blues head coach Oliver Wyss, as all three have been regulars for the club this year, but it will also give some of those players who haven’t seen as many minutes a chance to impress.
