The Orange County Blues continue to make moves in the midst of a busy period, announcing the signing of forward Orr Barouch on Wednesday. Barouch, 24, is a Southern California native and joins with experience in a number of leagues.

After playing for Chivas USA’s academy, Barouch signed for Liga MX side Tigres but never broke through to the first team. He then joined the Chicago Fire in 2011, staying with the MLS side until heading out on loan to Israeli club Bnei Yehuda in 2012. He stayed there until 2014, returning to the Fire that year, before going back to Israel, signing for Maccabi Netanya and playing there from 2014-15. His last stop prior to the Blues was in the Swiss second division, featuring for FC Biel-Bienne last season.

"I am very happy to join the club and a great group of guys. I am looking to help us achieve something great, which I believe we can," said Barouch in a team statement.

Barouch is also a former Israeli youth international, playing several times for the U-21 squad.

"Orr has tremendous experience for someone so young, he is a different type of forward to what we currently have and will give us height and a physical presence up front. His arrival will give the whole squad a lift," said Oliver Wyss in the statement.

Barouch is eligible to play in Orange County’s game on Wednesday against Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2.
