With the Orange County Blues back in the win column last week, a player from the squad got some recognition from the league, as forward Trevin Caesar was named to the USL Team of the Week for Week 19.

Caesar scored a brace, his first as a member of the Blues, in a 2-0 win over LA Galaxy II in the 405 Derby.

In fact, yet again this season a Blues player came just short of being named USL Player of the Week, as Caesar finished a narrow second to the winner, Tulsa Roughnecks’ Cristian Mata. Coincidentally, the Blues face the Roughnecks for the first time this season on Thursday.

The Team of the Week nod is Caesar’s second and first to the starting XI, after first getting recognized back in April. The Trinidad & Tobago international is now second on the team in goals, behind midfielder Didier Crettenand, who has seven to Caesar’s six.
