With the end of the USL regular season fast approaching, USL once again gave some recognition to an Orange County Blues player, giving forward Trevin Caesar a USL Team of the Week bench selection for Week 25.
Caesar returned from international duty with Trinidad & Tobago last week to score the winning goal in a 2-0 road victory over Real Monarchs SLC. The game was effectively a must-win contest for the Blues, who currently sit in the eighth and final Western Conference playoff spot, two points ahead of San Antonio FC (who have a game in hand).
Orange County have two more games to clinch a playoff spot, and Caesar and co-leading scorer Didier Crettenand (eight goals each) will be looking to fire the side into the postseason. The next game comes Saturday against a team ahead of them in the standings, 2016 debutants Rio Grande Valley FC.
Congrats to Trevin on the honor from the league.
