Watch the Sports Arena get torn down in real time

Sports Arena is falling down, falling down...

MLS: LAFC Groundbreaking Ceremony Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

The groundbreaking ceremony for Los Angeles Football Club’s stadium is in the books, and now the real work begins on Banc of California Stadium.

LAFC introduced a Sports Arena demolition live cam on their website on Thursday. As of Thursday afternoon, the feed is showing construction crews on the site, with a hole torn in the roof of the Sports Arena and a fair amount of debris lying around.

The team is not doing one big implosion of the Sports Arena, which has to be torn down because the stadium will sit on the exact site, so expect this process to take weeks, if not months, to be completed.

It’s not clear if the live cam will be continually on, if it will only be on during the day, or if the club is going to check in on demolition and construction periodically. But if you’re curious on how things are going down at the site, you can see it with your very own eyes.
