After years of court battles to get land for a stadium and constant delays, it appears David Beckham’s Miami MLS franchise is set to become reality. The MLS told the BBC that a date had not been set for when Beckham’s Miami will start in the league, while the two newest expansion cities are set to be announced in December. An MLS spokesperson, Dan Courtemanche, told the BBC "We look forward to working with David, Todd Boehly [majority owner] and their partners to finalize their expansion plan...We expect to make an official announcement to launch a new Miami expansion club in the coming months."
Rumors and reports about Neymar being unhappy or unmotivated at Paris Saint-Germain and wanting a move back to Barcelona or over to Real Madrid have been swirling this week, and Neymar is not happy about it. In a post-match press conference after Brazil’s 3-1 friendly win over Japan, Neymar denied essentially all of the reports that have been going around. Unhappy at PSG? Wrong. Unmotivated? Nope. Don’t get along with Edinson Cavani and manager Unai Emery? False. He also said he wishes the media would stop making things up to make him seem like the bad guy and to behave better.
Arsenal may have a solution of what to do with Alexis Sanchez, as his contract expires in the summer and he can negotiate with other teams in January. This solution is reportedly a swap deal in the winter, with Sanchez heading to Paris and German International Julian Draxler joining the Gunners. Draxler has had a hard time breaking into the lineup consistently at PSG with Neymar, Cavani, and Kylian Mbappe in the picture, and has also attracted interest from Bayern Munich. Sanchez could very well negotiate a deal to PSG, or Manchester City, as many expect him to do, and join on the first of July, for free with a massive signing bonus.
Patrice Evra, after absolutely losing his mind and kicking a Marseille fan before a Europa League matchup against Vitoria, has been not only banned by UEFA from all competitions for the season, but has also been sacked by his club by mutual consent. Marseille was also fined for the incident, as was Evra, while Vitoria was also fined for a pitch invasion.
