Orange County SC announced over the weekend the signing of midfielder Aodhan Quinn for the 2018 season. Quinn, 25, is a San Diego native who joins from FC Cincinnati.

“I’m very excited to have Aodhan join Orange County SC. I’ve personally known him since he was a little boy and have been really impressed with the man he has become. He’s another example of a fantastic player but an even better person. He will bring the determination and experience we need to reach our goals. He’s not only a talented player but hardworking and disciplined which will continue to be the foundation of our team,” said Orange County SC head coach Braeden Cloutier in a statement.

Quinn, the son of U.S. Soccer Hall of Famer Brian Quinn, has played his entire professional career to date in USL. Starting with Orlando City in their pre-MLS days after being drafted out of Akron by the Philadelphia Union (they did not sign him), he spent the 2014 season with the Lions before going up the road and joining Louisville City. There for two years, this past season he played for FC Cincinnati, where he helped take the team to the semifinal of the U.S. Open Cup.

“I’m extremely excited to get started with the club, everything I’ve seen from the stadium to facilities is top class. I look forward to working with the coach and staff who have the same ideas of how to play the game as I do. I’m excited to help push the club forward to help achieve their vision as they continue to strive for greatness,” said Quinn.

OC now have four players announced for the 2018 roster. Alongside Quinn there’s another newcomer, midfielder Christian Duke, to go with holdovers Zach Kobayashi and Richard Chaplow.
