Los Angeles Football Club revealed a new logo for Banc of California Stadium on Thursday.

According to the release, “The Banc of California Stadium logo embraces the stadium’s distinct architecture at the Northeast entrance viewable from Figueroa Street. Elegant and versatile, the logo also reflects the mobility and aspirations of Los Angeles.”

The stadium, projected to open in 2018, will be the home of the MLS expansion team, which also begins play next year. Located at Exposition Park in Los Angeles next to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, Banc of California Stadium is currently under construction.

“We are incredibly proud of our partnership with Banc of California, and our stadium’s architectural designs live on in the new Banc of California Stadium logo," said Tom Penn, club president and owner, in a release. "Together with Banc of California we are poised to bring world class soccer and spectacular entertainment to the heart of the city."

“Banc of California is pleased to have the opportunity to partner with LAFC in bringing the team and stadium to Los Angeles,” said J. Francisco Turner, interim president and Chief Financial Officer and Chief Strategy Officer of Banc Of California. “As California’s Bank, we are proud to partner with LAFC on a project that will facilitate the revitalization of this historic and proud community within District 9 of the City of Los Angeles. Additionally, we look forward to providing financial literacy education, small business assistance, and meaningful youth development programs for the communities of South Los Angeles through our partnership with LAFC.”

You can find more information on the stadium at the venue’s website.
