Orange County SC played their second match of the preseason on Friday, taking on another local college side, this time Cal State Northridge. The pros came away 1-0 winners on the night.
Dutch newcomer Jerry van Ewijk scored the game’s lone goal, giving him two goals in two preseason games so far for Orange County.

And the result means OCSC are 2-0 so far in the preseason, after beating Loyola Marymount 4-1 last weekend. And now the college portion of the schedule is over, with three more preseason games on the docket ahead of the March 25 USL regular season opener: Next Friday against Phoenix Rising, March 15 against Real Monarchs, and March 18 against LA Galaxy II. All games are open to the public, the first two taking place at Orange County Great Park, the last at StubHub Center.
Of course, it is just preseason, and there are plenty of signings to be made and/or announced the next few weeks. We’ll keep you updated on all of the action in the run-up to the season.
