Liverpool beat Watford 1-0 on the road behind an Emre Can wondergoal

Liverpool did their part to stay in the top four of the Premier League with a 1-0 win over Watford. The news that came out of the match, however, was Emre Can’s bicycle kick golazo, a goal that I can’t stop watching and a solid candidate for goal of the season.

Pescara’s Sulley Muntari walks off after being booked for reporting racist abuse

Ghanaian midfielder Sulley Muntari walked off the pitch against Cagliari on Sunday, saying he had been booked by referee Danielle Minelli in the 90th minute for complaining about receiving racist abuse from the Cagliari crowd. Muntari says that even some children were involved in the racist abuse and that he tried to set an example, but the abuse continued in the second half. The team played with 10 men in stoppage time and lost the match, 1-0, but this is another example of racist abuse from the stands in Italy, a problem the country has struggled to stop.

A Trio of Manchester United news: De Gea not angling for Man Utd exit, United approach Torino for Belotti, Luke Shaw could be out the rest of the season

It’s a busy day in Manchester as the Red Devils prepare for their Europa League match against Celta Vigo. On the heels of being linked with a transfer to Real Madrid (again), United Keeper David De Gea says he is not interested in moving from Old Trafford. Manchester United have also approached Italian club Torino to show their interest in their young striker Andrea Belotti, who has 27 goals in 34 matches this season, and is just 23 years old. The Italian has a €100 million release clause in his recently-extended contract with Torino, applicable only if the player moves to a club outside Italy. Lastly, Luke Shaw could be out for the rest of the season with a foot injury, the latest setback for the young fullback in his first season under Jose Mourinho.
