Zlatan Ibrahimovic is recovering from surgery for his knee injury, and is currently a free agent. The striker, linked to MLS and Los Angeles as recently as Wednesday, dropped something that made us go “Hmmm...”

Those are, those are Los Angeles Football Club’s colors!
Turns out, this message is an advertisement for Ibrahimovic’s clothing company, A-Z, coming to Los Angeles. Cool, cool.
Is there a chance this is some coded message that the player is also coming to LAFC, which will begin play in 2018, around the time he should be recovered and cleared to play? Yeah, there’s a chance. We could look back and say, “Well that was pretty obvious.”
But it could also be a coincidence. ESPN’s Jeff Carlisle reported on the ESPN FC TV show that LAFC are not pursuing Ibrahimovic.
Carlisle is reputable with his reporting, so this should put some real cold water on the speculation linking the Swedish striker to LAFC, at least for now. Based on that, it seems Ibrahimovic just happens to like black and gold and it’s only his clothing company that’s coming to LA. If there are other developments here, we’ll be sure to let you know, however.
