Orange County SC returned to USL’s Team of the Week honors this week, as midfielder Carlos Alvarez was named to the TOTW bench by the league.

The midfielder, on loan to Orange County this season from MLS expansion team Los Angeles Football Club, scored a goal and assisted the game-winning goal in a 4-3 win over Seattle Sounders 2 on Saturday.

It’s Alvarez’s second selection to the USL Team of the Week/bench this season, and with Orange County holding several games in hand on the competition, they’ll be counting on the Southern California native to help them pick up as many points as possible in their quest to move up the table. Their next game is on Saturday at home against Portland Timbers 2.

Congratulations to Carlos on the honor, and hopefully this is the start of a run of personal and team honors for OCSC.
