Orange County SC are six games unbeaten, and picked up four points across two games last week. One player on that OCSC roster was honored in the USL Team of the Week honors as a result, as midfielder/forward Dusan Stevanovic was named to the Team of the Week bench for Week 18.
Stevanovic, one of just three holdovers from last year’s OC Blues roster on this year’s Orange County SC team, scored the goal in Wednesday’s 1-1 draw against Rio Grande Valley FC, and set up another goal in Saturday’s 4-0 win, also over RGVFC.
The 25-year-old, in his second season with the club, now has a goal and an assist in eight league appearances this season, as he’s gotten more playing time in Logan Pause’s squad of late with injuries and suspensions ravaging Orange County’s attack. Among the depth options, Stevanovic has played his role, with last week definitely being his best of the season so far.
This is his first selection of the season to the USL Team of the Week bench. Congrats to Dusan, and here’s hoping there are more Orange County SC selections to come.
