The new event in MLS circles is for supporters to meet superstar signings at the airport. Didier Drogba in Montreal, Kaká in Orlando (even Dom Dwyer got an airport welcome in Orlando last month), the people come out, the player, looking cool, calm, and collected walks through the terminal and meets the fans for the very first time.
Looks like it’s a thing at LAX, too.
Los Angeles Football Club supporters came out on Thursday to meet the team’s first Designated Player signing, Carlos Vela, at LAX.

And as LAFC unified supporters group The 3252 did with Bob Bradley, they posed for a group photo at the airport with Vela.
Heeeeere's Carlos! Let's welcome him together at Expo Park tomorrow.

And I know “Bradley” is a fairly common last name, but do you recall LAX’s international terminal is the (Tom) Bradley International Terminal? And Bob Bradley as Vela’s new head coach? It’s like it was written in the stars.
