Chelsea back on track as Spurs lose at Wembley.... again

Chelsea beat Tottenham 2-1 to get their defense back on track. The Blues struck first in the first half off of a stunning free kick from Marcos Alonso. Tottenham then threatened throughout including Harry Kane striking the post. Tottenham then equalized through an own goal from Michy Batshuayi, from a Christian Eriksen free kick. But the Blues came back to claim victory, a Tottenham turnover deep in their half was capitalized on again by Alonso, who its fair to say should have had his shot saved by Hugo Lloris. For Chelsea, it was a huge result after their embarrassing defeat last weekend at home. For Spurs, it was yet another defeat at Wembley, after losing to Chelsea in the FA Cup semifinal last year, combined with all their defeats last year at Wembley in the Champions League. Curse or not, Spurs need to adjust to playing at Wembley, and they need to do it fast.

Neymar stars in home debut for PSG

Paris Saint-Germain beat Toulouse 6-2 in their first home game of the season. Being that it was Neymar’s first home game, it was always going to be all about him, but he had the performance to match the hype. Two goals and two assists for the Brazilian, the last one being particularly delightful. Neymar appears to have hit the ground running, and that is great news for PSG fans, as well as neutrals who love great football.

Christian Pulisic scores again as Dortmund beat Wolfsburg

Christian Pulisic scored his second goal in the first two games as Borussia Dortmund downed Wolfsburg 3-0 on Saturday. Pulisic’s goal was a great one, but the Dortmund man only gave himself a B for the strike. Pulisic’s good form is good news for Dortmund fans obviously, especially with the Ousmane Dembele situation, but also for U.S. fans, who will need their star man in top form for their upcoming World Cup Qualifiers.

Kaká spends Orlando City game in the Wall with fans

Who was that among the Wall during Orlando City’s last game? None other than Kaká himself. He was suspended after getting a red card last week, and he decided to spend this game with Orlando City’s diehard fans in the their supporters section which is nicknamed the Wall. Orlando City could only settle for a home draw, but I’m sure the fans in the Wall enjoyed spending the game with one of their heroes.
