How to Watch Phoenix Rising FC vs. Orange County SC

Can’t overstate the importance of this game.

Orange County SC attempt to end their eight-game winless streak in USL play on Wednesday, as they head out on the road to face Phoenix Rising FC for the only time this season in Arizona, as USL’s Game of the Week on ESPN3.

Orange County are barely hanging on in the playoff chase at the moment, four points behind Phoenix, who sit in the final playoff spot, so this is a playoff six-pointer. At this point in the season, a draw wouldn’t really help OC a lot, so they really need to get back in the win column if they want to reach the USL Playoffs for a third consecutive season.

They’ve got reinforcements, potentially as soon as tonight, as OC have added Argentine forward Rodrigo Pacheco on loan from Los Angeles Football Club and defender Walker Hume on loan from FC Dallas. Given recent issues at both ends of the field and the thinness of the squad in those positions, getting two players in could be a big boost for Orange County.

So this is a massive game for the visitors. Considering home has not been a haven lately, maybe hitting the road can help them turn a page, but as ever, it won’t be easy against a motivated Phoenix side. Can OC get the much-needed win? We’ll find out tonight.

Tale of the Tape:

Orange County SC: 29 points (7-8-8), 11th place in Western Conference; Goal Difference: -4; Last five games: L-L-D-D-D

Phoenix Rising FC: 33 points (9-7-6), 8th place in Western Conference; Goal Difference: -1; Last five games: W-W-D-D-W

How to Watch Phoenix Rising FC vs. Orange County SC: The game is scheduled to kick off at 7:30 pm PT at Orange County Great Park in Arizona. You can watch the stream on ESPN3/WatchESPN.
