Portuguese youth could have loan at Braga cut short to make it happen.

Reports in Portugal suggest Andre Horta could see his loan at S.C. Braga cut short as S.L. Benfica want to sell the midfielder to Los Angeles Football Club for €6 million ($7.2 million).

Record reported on Wednesday Benfica club president Luis Filipe Vieira met with Braga president Antonio Salvador to discuss the early termination of Horta’s loan. In the past, Salvador has said he would not let the 21-year-old out of his loan deal before it ends in June.

Horta was sold to Benfica in 2016 for £360,000, then loaned to Braga before the start of this season.

This is the latest report of Horta being linked to LAFC, with the first coming around New Year’s Eve. Given the apparent interest Benfica have in selling him, it appears this rumor still has legs, and we’ll see if there are additional developments.

Thus far, Horta has scored one goal in 13 appearances for Braga, including three games in the Europa League. He has also played in three matches for Portugal’s U-21 squad since 2016. That came after he scored a goal in seven games for the U-20 squad.
