USL announced the home openers for 2018 on Friday, presumably finalizing both the number of teams that will actually play in the league this year (33) and getting the master schedule underway for the ever-shifting league.
Of local note, Orange County SC will open the season on March 17 at home at Orange County Great Park against Phoenix Rising FC, a would-be regional rivalry that hasn’t yet blossomed into a true rivalry yet.

Based on this, we can intuit that the USL season will kick off that same weekend as OCSC’s opener, on March 16. Unfortunately, no other games involving Orange County are included in the home openers announcement.
On the bright side, the league announced the rest of the schedule is tabbed to drop next week, so we’ll get word of the rest of Orange County SC (and all the other teams) pretty soon.
