The Los Angeles Football Club Academy will be taking part in the LA Galaxy Cup in March.

This will be the first year for the international youth tournament, that spans from March 28 to April 1 at the Orange County Great Park in Irvine.

LAFC’s academy teams will join fellow MLS academies from Sporting Kansas City, Real Salt Lake and LA Galaxy. Additionally, international teams like FC Porto in Portugal, Club Tijuana in Mexico and Premier League teams Manchester United and Swansea AFC will have club teams taking part.

Other teams listed on the LA Galaxy Cup website are Pateadores Academy, San Diego Surf, Legends FC and Real So. Cal.

The cup will feature teams from the U-12 to the U-19 level.

The LAFC Academy is directed by Todd Saldana with Tony Vigil as the academy manager. The academy launched in 2016 with one U-12 USSDA squad and expanded to include U-12, U-13 and U-14 teams last fall.
