Injury update: Eduard Atuesta out for LAFC vs. Colorado Rapids

Midfielder joins injury report, here’s the latest update.

Los Angeles Football Club has released their latest injury report, and bad news...another player has joined the sick bay.

Midfielder Eduard Atuesta is listed as out for Saturday’s game against Colorado Rapids due to a concussion. Tough break for the 20-year-old and the team alike, as he’s the closest thing to a holding midfielder that LAFC field, but hope he’ll be on the mend soon.

There’s a chance we could see Aaron Kovar or maybe even Calum Mallace in Atuesta’s place, but most likely Andre Horta will get another chance and another attacker will be thrown on the field in Atuesta’s place. We’ll see.

By the way, Kovar is off the injury report this week after being out a few games.

Also off is defender Danilo Silva, who missed two games with hamstring issues. I’d expect he’ll be in line to start, likely replacing Dejan Jakovic at center back.

Meanwhile, Latif Blessing remains on the injury report this week, listed as out with a hip problem. Vince La Rosa reported this week that Blessing was still working to the side in training, and he appears to not have recovered enough to make the trip to Colorado.

As ever, Mark-Anthony Kaye (broken ankle) and Quillan Roberts (broken leg) remain long-term injury absences.

No players are listed as questionable on this week’s report.
